Njoki Wairua, The Dancing Biochemist

I am Njoki Wairua, popularly known as ‘The Dancing Biochemist.’

At the end of 2015, I decided to cut down my studio time to focus on my biochemistry studies and so for the bulk of 2016, I kept a low profile in the dance scene.

In August 2016, I was approached by JKM Dance Studios to join their team and become a dance teacher.

I had been teaching weekly private dance classes for about two years by the time this opportunity presented itself but this was a huge leap for me. Especially given that this was a full time gig which was certainly a whole other ball game.
